I believe we have one more open spot on either day. If we have a last minute rush, we can open up Friday as well.

Again, the location is amazing; hair and makeup is provided; and we'll bring a few little surprises to make things interesting. :)

Lajuanna and I have been extremely busy this weekend. After such an awesome wedding, we had the opportunity to meet two awesome ladies for private collection sessions. Both are getting married soon!! The cool thing about these sessions is that we get to meet so many cool brides that we would never have had a chance to otherwise. To preview Catherines session, click HERE or on the image below. We're going to include a smaller book with the "files only" option of our rapidly approaching boudoir session in March. I do not like the idea of releasing just the files without some form of printed image. It won't have some of the elements of the large presentation album, such as the laminate finish on the page or the hard slip cover with imprinting, but it will be a very nice (smaller) presentation book none the less. It will be a 20 page 5x5 or 7x7 hardcover book with a frosted slip cover. I'll have studio samples for you to see at the sessions. For the larger book option, you have option of a lay-flat album with leather cover.

Again, we'll have a sample of that as well. We also have larger albums if you really want to make a statement. How about a 16x20? Yes, we can produce a 16x20 album. Can you imagine opening a book that is 32 inches across? Sweet. How much would a 100 page 16x20 album weigh?

Next extended Boudoir Session, March 14-16 2008

We are going to have our next Boudoir Extedended Sessions March 14, 15, and 16th, 2008. We will be getting another loft location in St. Louis for this session.

Session Times:

Friday, Mar 14th: ~~09:00am-12:00pm; 1:00-4:00pm; 5:00-8:00pm~~
Saturday, Mar 15: ~~09:00am-12:00pm; 1:00-4:00pm; 5:00-8:00pm~~
Sunday, Mar 16: ~~09:00am-12:00pm; 1:00-4:00pm; 5:00-8:00pm~~

Things to note: We now are including 3 hours in the session. I hate rushing and this will give you plenty of time for changes, touchups, etc. Also, there is an hour built in between sessions so no one should be bumping up against each other. We like things relaxed and FUN!

If you are on the fence whether to do a boudoir session, DO IT! You'll have a blast, the images will be amazing, AND he'll LOVE IT!! We've had a couple of Moms say they wish they had done a session when they were younger.

We have several cool things planned. Also, if you have certain ideas about your session, let us know! Some people have been more comfortable by meeting us before the actual day. That gives us a chance to get to know each other and possibly dispel some concerns before the day.

Also, if you think you might want to play around in a big, bubbly, bubble-bath, you might want to bring a swimsuit. I have some other suggestions of things to bring if you're interested.

We've'had some interest combining the CTD and Boudoir into the same 3 hours session (for the same price). That's fine!

March ultra-marathon - BACK ON!!...

I'm trying to nail down a 7-day period in March to have an ultra-extended-boudoir- celebratethedress-marathon. We'll have about three sessions a day where you can book either session or a combination session. We'll use a loft location. I'll also have a few more options regarding the image presentation such as print packages, different size books, DVD, and matted prints with presentation box.

I will have an information package once we determine the week. I would like to offer super-cool personal photography at affordable pricing, but to pull this off, we'll need a certain amount of bookings. Since we rely on word of mouth, please get the word out as we firm up the details.

If you have any questions, let me know. I'm always happy to hear ideas and input as well.

ADDITIONAL: There appears to be more interest than I thought. I'll put together details to send out if you've inquired.

...it looks like we'll be doing an extended session in MARCH in a COOL LOFT with everything listed above, but with an emphasis on candles!! I would also like to try some "light painting". Maybe with a session that had a little extra time. :) We'll see how this plays out over the next 6 days or so.

For the adventurous "outside" responders, we already have the furniture purchased. Way cool. Don't forget the underwater option ;) We have a few pools lined up for warmer weather (one possible for winter) but if anyone has access to a heated indoor pool (with stocked bar) ....hey...it doesn't hurt to ask....let me know and maybe we can strike a deal! Until we have our custom pool installed, with special dechlorination and heated water, we'll have to bum around :)

Oh yeah, if anyone has a great idea to add to the choices, let me know!

Boudoir Presentation Book (with slip case)

One of the brides we photographed was kind enough to allow us to publish some images of her new boudoir presentation book. This will give you a little peek at what you'll receive from your session, if desired. The book is fine art quality and makes an amazing gift for your husband to be! (or an anniversary gift of course).This shows the vellum paper that is in front of the first image of the book. It's a very classy presentation, protects the photograph, and gives a peek at what the book is about!! This is the last image in the book and illustrates that the book is completely custom and can be personalized (text, etc) as you desire.

I'm not at liberty to post pictures or names, but I just had the amazing opportunity to photograph a moment when the brides "private collection" was presented to her soon-to-husband, and it was very cool. He was floored (very much in a GOOD way) and you could tell in an instant how awed he was with his gorgeous bride and the gesture of her gift.

just a word about our boudoir photography...

We photograph boudoir for our brides and other brides as well. We do so in the spirit of celebration between two people who are extremeley in love and are devoted to each other. From time to time, we'll post images that depict details from certain sessions, but won't readily identify the subject. This is very understable and those people have graciously allowed us to post SOME images so others interested in our services can see the style and thoughtfulness of our work.

Be clear, in my opinion, the essence of a person (anyone actually) is found in one's eyes, their smile, the way they talk and carry themselves...and especially the way they feel. I will never objectify anyone and these images are in no way meant to do so. They are simply to display our photography and the beauty that it is...simply. Everything is posted by permission and will be removed immediately if the subject desires.

And on a more humorous note, if you want to see michael doing a boudoir shoot himself, see below. You will not see this very often! ;)

Loft for this weekend...

This evening we're going to St. Louis to check out a loft for this weekends extended sessions. Should work out fine. Once it's final, we'll get the word out on the address, parking, etc. I hope this can be a trend so that the location will constantly change.

Our next session will be in the fall, if there's enough interest. Also, if you can put together at least 8 other people for an extended session over 2-3 days, we'll include your session for no charge. This does not have to be in St. Louis. Basically any major city in the U.S. is fine

Upcoming b-session...

... The time is drawing near for our next extended b-session. We're still working on securing a loft, but if we don't the Ritz is luxuriously cool. I hope to have an answer soon so everyone will know. Just a few thoughts...

Tunes...don't forget to bring your iPod or mp3 player with your favorite b-session playlist. We'll have a iPod Hi-Fi handy for tunes. If you don't bring yours, you'll have to listen to what I bring :)

Time. Right now, the bookings are very light, so if you see an open time period before your reserved time, you're more than welcome to come early or stay later. Just give us a jingle and let us know if you're coming early. Believe it or not, 2 hrs goes by quick when you're having fun.
